In late May 2020, the "Power 5" athletic conferences sent a letter
to Congress requesting an antitrust exemption that would give them the
unchecked freedom to continue restricting college athletes' name,
image, and likeness rights. Today, Pearson, Simon & Warshaw, LLP,
along with its co-counsel in the In re NCAA Grant-in-Aid Cap Antitrust
Litigation, sent Congress a response
letter
vigorously supporting college athletes’ antitrust rights and opposing
the conferences’ request for legal immunity.
